About Us
Nine Generations of Hardwood Excellence
In 1804, John Matson built the first sawmill in what would become a 200-year family commitment to the hardwood lumber industry. Today, Matson Lumber Company produces premium kiln-dried hardwoods that domestic distributors and global export buyers have come to depend on.

Who We Are Today
Matson Lumber Company operates one focused, world-class facility in Corsica, PA — purpose-built to produce a select group of premium Appalachian hardwood species at a level of consistency that our customers can build their supply chains around. We don't try to be everything to everyone. We do a small number of things exceptionally well, from the log yard to the kiln to delivery.
